Familia De Rubro Monte

The Association is a non-profit socio-cultural association created with the aim to rigorously highlight the peculiar characteristics of Monterosso Calabro.

Born in April 2007, from a friendly conversation with the idea of evaluate the countless cultural riches that our country has always boasted.

Since then, the “Familia de Rubro Monte” has promoted initiatives in order to protect history, traditions, customs and important events, also to the memory of those who are alive they brought fame and prestige to Monterosso Calabro.

The anthem

“Nobis radices semper amadae sunt”

The anthem of the Familia de Rubro Monte Association was also composed in 2008: WE LOVE OUR ROOTS (Verses by Nello Manduca – Music by Pino Puzzello), which perhaps, both in words and in music, embodies the spirit of our partnership associative.

We love our roots

The Association, having as its motto the phrase “NOBIS RADICES SEMPER AMADAE SUNT” (we love our roots), has among its aims the valorization of all Monterossians who, during their lives, have achieved success, prestige and fame, valorising their country of origin in the internal world and therefore never forgetting the place that gave them birth.

Dal 2007 fino ad oggi

For several years now, the Association has been active, always maintaining a coherent spirit of association, despite the need to adapt to changing times and the new generations.

The symbol

The Association’s logo recalls the shield that appears on the bells of our churches; the field of the shield is blue, the same as the shield of the coat of arms of our Municipality, while the five-pointed star takes us back to our ancient and glorious past. At the foot of the tower there is an ancestral lizard, a sign of fortitude and perseverance!

Annual events

The realization of the various events responds to the intent of affirming our Monterosso identity, demonstrating great interest in the country, its history, its roots and its culture. Furthermore, the activities contribute to keeping alive a strong community spirit that has always characterized our country.
